Hailing from the frozen north Sweden's Mojib real name Staffan Ulmert see's his debut album 'Whimsical Lifestyle' released on Canadian label Non-Existent Recordings (NXR) In October this year. Mojib's influences extend from electronica, indie music, to trip-hop and this can be seen filtering into his debut release which features 11 meticulously crafted songs, with a diverse array of musical sounds, combining beautiful pop melodies, solid, intricate drum patterns, bittersweet piano keys, acoustic guitars and electronic synths.
To celebrate the release Mojib has put together a series of remixes and mashups into several promotional mixes, most notably the well received UNKLE Vs Mojib Promotional Mix which was sent out to DJs/Radio stations, including UNKLE themselves. Here Mojib demonstrates his mixing and remixing skills mashing up tracks from UNKLE's albums Psyence Fiction, Never Never Land and their latest offering War Stories, as well as adding into this a number of offerings from his forthcoming album 'Whimsical Lifestyle'.
